- A: You need to provide the design you want printed on the strap (one color), and the design you want printed on the clip and button (full color).
- Q: Can individuals/non-corporate entities order?
- A: While we specialize in professional lanyards for companies and other large organizations, individuals are free to take advantage of our services.
- Q: I made a mistake in my order. Can I correct it?
- A: Sure, as long as you let us know before production begins. Inform us of any corrections by email at contact@lanyardstar.com. We will gladly recreate the final pre-production design according to your specifications and send it to you again for approval. After production begins, the order cannot be changed, so please do be sure to double-check your order before approving our final pre-production design.
- Q: Actually, I want to change the logo design and use a different one from the one I already sent. Can I do that?
- A: Again, it's o.k. as long as you let us know before production begins. However, while we will handle the first two logo changes free of charge, there will be a $15 charge for each additional logo change. Send your new logo design to us at contact@lanyardstar.com. We will recreate the final pre-production design according to your specifications and send it to you again for approval.
- Q: So the 25mm lanyard doesn't have the buttonized logos?
- A: That's right. It does not have the buttons or clips that the 10mm and 15mm lanyards have. As with the other lanyards, you can still print your logo on the strap along with your company/organization name. If you want a full-color, buttonized logo, consider adding our extending badge reel to your order. The badge reel can be customized with your full-color, buttonized logo.
- Q: Can you make a new custom strap color to my exact specifications?
- A: Actually, yes. We offer more strap colors than any competitor we are aware of, but you may be looking for a strap that matches your company color exactly. For large orders (3000 lanyards or more), we can manufacture a new strap color just for you. For a large order of custom-color lanyards, we do recommend having a test sample made before we proceed to production of the full order. Typically for a test sample, we produce 10 lanyards for $210.
- Q: What do you mean by design?
- A: One of LanyardStar's specialties is lanyards that feature your full-color logo on the clip in addition to whatever single color logo and text you want to print on the strap. Naturally these need to be designed. You can design the logos yourself or we can work with you to come up with a design you are happy with.
- Q: What kinds of logo designs do I need to provide?
- A: Our two most popular lanyards, the 10mm and the 15mm, feature your logo in three places: the strap (for long, single-color designs with text), the button (for small, circular, full-color designs), and the clip (same as button). Some people use the same design for the button logo and the clip logo, while others put their company logo on the clip and their new product line logo on the button. So depending on your prefence, you will need to provide 2 or 3 designs. The 25mm lanyard, on the other hand, has just the strap. There is no button or clip that can accept a logo, so you only need to provide the logo you want on the strap.
- Q: What file formats do you accept for the logo designs?
- A: Just about anything is ok, though we prefer Adobe Illustrator files if available. Even if all you have is jpeg images, we can accept them.
If you are proficient in Adobe Illustrator, you might want use our design template to try out different strap colors and place all your logos on the lanyard yourself.

- Q: How do I send my design files to you?
- A: The best way is to upload them during the "Design" process. Fast and easy. Alternatively you can email them to us at design@lanyardstar.com.
- Q: Can I specify the print color of the strap logo?
- A: For most strap colors, the print color will be white. For light-colored straps, the print color will be black. If you want a different print color, choose a color from the 10mm strap widths, and let us know when you order, or by emailing us at design@lanyardstar.com.
- Q: Anything I should be careful of when designing my logos?
- A: Keeping in mind the size of the lanyard, try not to make your logos too intricately detailed or they will be harder to recognize from far away.
- Q: Do I need a PayPal account to pay?
- A: No, you can pay with any major credit card through PayPal even if you don't have a PayPal account. We use PayPal to process transactions securely for the peace of mind of the customer.
- Q: Do you ship internationally?
- A: Yes, we ship anywhere served by major parcel services (FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT, Sagawa).
- Q: Will I know when you ship my order?
- A: Yes, we will send you an email notification when your order ships, along with a tracking number. Lanyards ship directly from Bangkok, Thailand.
- Q: Can I have my order shipped to multiple locations?
- A: We cannot split up your order, so we ask that you recieve your order at a single address.
- Q: How do the lanyards come packed?
- A: Each lanyard is individually bagged. While the lanyards come pre-assembled with all add-ons, the free ID card holders are wrapped separately. If you don't want the lanyards wrapped individually, make a note of it in the comments section of the order form.
- Q: Can I cancel my order?
- A: You can, but you will be charged for the portion of your order that has already been produced. The remainder of your payment will be refunded to your account.
- Q: What happens if the lanyards don't match what I specified in my order?
- A: We inspect the whole order before shipping, but if you happen to receive a shipment that is clearly different from what you ordered (for example, if you ordered lanyards with red straps but received blue straps), we will promptly replace it. In that case, we will cover all costs, including shipping.--OR-- If you are willing to go ahead and use the lanyards instead of returning them, we will refund to your account %15 of the lanyard price (excludes base charge, shipping, expidited service charge) or $50, whichever is greater. In either case, let us know within one week of receiving the shipment.
- Q: What happens if there is something missing in the shipment?
- A: Let us know within one week of receiving the shipment. We will send whatever is missing as soon as possible. For clips and badge holders, we can usually ship them immediately. The straps themselves may take more time.
- Q: What if the lanyards are defective?
- A: Let us know within one week of receiving them, and send the defective ones back to us (we will cover the shipping cost). We will ship the replacements when we have received the defective ones. We cannot do an exchange for lanyards that have already been used or distributed.
- Q: How long is the warantee?
- A: 90 days. If a part somehow breaks or falls off through normal use, we will replace that part free of charge. Even after the 90-day warantee expires, we can send replacement parts, but not free of charge.
- Q: What kind of restrictions do you have on exchanges and returns?
- A: We cannot do exchanges or returns in the following cases: minor measurement variances in manufacturing, slight blurring within company standards, a new shape or form due to a change in the manufacturing process, a substitute accessory due to stock shortage, or any general customer carelessness or dissatisfaction where there is no fault with the lanyard.
